Solon Oliver, an eighth grader at the West Tisbury School, held a clothing drive for low-income and homeless children from March 28 to April 4. According to a press release, it was a huge success; the drive produced 36 bags of clothes, shoes, and fleece blankets. The blankets, 41 of them, were made during an enrichment period at the West Tisbury School. The clothing will be donated to the nonprofit Cradles to Crayons, whose mission is to provide everyday essentials that allow children “to feel safe, warm, ready to learn, and valued.”
