It’s finally here — the 32nd annual Martha’s Vineyard Big Chili Contest. On Saturday, May 5, the P.A. Club is hosting the hottest event on the Island. Tasting and judging go from 10:30 am to 4 pm, and an afterparty goes until 7 pm.
Tickets are on sale now, and can be bought at ticketsmv.com. Tickets are also on sale at several on-Island locations, including Shirley’s True Value Hardware, Ocean View Restaurant, and the P.A. Club. Since we know the contest draws in many mainlanders, off-Island ticket locations include the Quahog Republic Dive Bar, Quahog Republic Whaler’s Tavern, and Quahog Republic Captain’s Den, as well as the Woods Hole Market and Harvest Gallery Wine Bar.
Tickets are $30, plus a processing fee for online sales. If you’d like to enter your chili, contact Jen Toppin at Santoro Hospitality Group by calling 978-210-1828. You can download the entry form by visiting bigchilifest.com.
The event is sponsored by Santoro Hospitality Group, a MVY Radio media partner, and benefits the Red Stocking Fund. See what the hype is all about, and drop in for this highly anticipated afternoon.
