Island Gymnastics sent five Xcel Gold–level gymnasts to the at the Pilgrim Harvest Invitational in Worcester on Nov. 19.
In the Gold Children division, Arianna Edelman placed fourth on vault (9.1), third on bars (9.05), first on beam (9.25), third on floor (8.85), and was second all-around (36.25). Molly Crawford placed first on vault (9.35), fourth on beam (9.1), fourth on floor (8.8), and fourth all-around (35.95). Emily Boyd placed fifth on bars (8.85).
In the Gold Intermediate division, Sara Goodale placed first on vault (9.55), and finished sixth all-around (35.25).
The Xcel Bronze gymnasts had some high-performing routines as well. Grace Voshell placed first all-around, first on vault (9.15), third on bars (9.2), first on beam (9.2), and first on floor (9.25). Nikita Kleeman placed fifth all-around (35.25), third on vault (8.9), and third on beam (8.65). Gabrielle Guimaraes placed seventh all-around (35), with two fifth-place finishes on beam (8.55) and floor (8.85). Casey Webster had a fifth-place finish on bars (9.05).
The gymnasts are coached by Elizabeth Goodell.
