The Martha’s Vineyard Preservation Trust hosts its most important fundraiser of the year this weekend: Taste of the Vineyard.
Festivities begin with the Gourmet Stroll on Thursday, June 15, beginning at 6:30 pm on the lawn at the Dr. Daniel Fisher House, Main Street, Edgartown. Participating restaurants, including Lambert’s Cove Inn, Atlantic Fish & Chop House, Fishbones Grill, Garde East, Offshore Ale, Tin Hangar, La Soffitta, and others, share space under the giant white tents with caterers, wineries, and craft breweries. Strollers sample the Vineyard’s best food and catch up with old friends after a long winter. After trying out the delicious fare, strollers can dance the night away with the Sultans of Swing.

For Saturday’s Vineyard Patrons’ Stroll and Auction, the Preservation Trust offers a hybrid event that incorporates the liveliness of the Gourmet Stroll with the elegance of the Patrons’ gathering. Caterer V. Jaime Hamlin & Sons created a diverse menu with an international flair, featuring small plates with Asian, Mexican, American, and French cuisine, as well as Vineyard seafood and sweet treats.
Beverages served will include deluxe spirits, fine wines, craft beers, and specialty cocktails. Cabaret and lounge seating will be available, and a sensational silent auction with opportunities to win much-coveted items will take place. The Joanne Cassidy Band will get the crowd on the dance floor to wrap up the night.
