Oak Bluffs photographer Sharon Simonin opens a two-week photo exhibit at the Chilmark branch of Martha’s Vineyard Savings Bank with a reception on Friday, June 16, from 5 to 6:30 pm. Her photos of Vineyard landscapes and seascapes, along with many floral images, will be on display. The photos will be for sale, with the proceeds benefiting the Island Autism Group.
“I’ve been taking photos as a hobby for years, but it’s been about five years since I purchased a used Canon SLR, which gives me the ability to change lenses,” Ms. Simonin said. This has made her photography grow to more of a passion, she said.
