Network of Neighbors, Inc., an Edgartown-based charity founded by former television executive SQuire Rushnell and comedian Louise Duarte, recently won a judgment in its favor against Danielle-Pauline Pendergraft (currently known as Danielle Dobiecki) and Scott R. Pendergraft for the sum of $43,000. In her 13-page decision, United States Bankruptcy Judge Karen K. Brown stated among many other things that the “Debtors’ [Pendergrafts’] self-dealing amounts to a criminal state of mind.” Danielle Pendergraft, a.k.a. Danielle Pauline Ravitch, and the Texas public relations firm, Holiday Public Relations, that she was associated with have been repeatedly at the epicenter of litigation and alleged scandal in and around Edgartown from 2012 onward. Mr. Rushnell told The Times that while he and his wife were pleased with the closure and justice the judgment represents, they have low expectations for Network of Neighbors receiving the funds due to it.
