This Saturday, March 11, the Island Wide Youth Collaborative (IWYC) will launch a support group for parents and caregivers of transgender young people. This will be the first meeting of a monthly drop-in group designed to provide an opportunity for parents and caregivers of trans and genderqueer young people to ask questions, get information, and build a supportive community. The group will provide a space for nonjudgmental and uninhibited conversation, support, and resources. The meetings will take place on Saturdays from 11 am to 12:30 pm at the Island Wide Youth Collaborative on the Martha’s Vineyard Community Services campus, 111 Edgartown Road, Oak Bluffs. For more information call Rikki Pashen, Psy.D., at 508-693-7900, ext. 241.
