The Martha’s Vineyard Sharks announced that host-family coordinator Jessica Burnham has been named the team vice president. She will continue to fill the important position of host-family coordinator, according to a press release.
“Jess has been with the club since the beginning, volunteering hundreds of hours and doing a tremendous job managing the host-family coordinator duties, among other projects,” Sharks president and director of baseball operations Kyle Fiore said in an email to The Times. “The VP position is a natural progression for her, and well-deserved recognition of her contributions to the organization.”
“The Sharks mean a lot to me, and I am honored to be named to the VP position,” Ms. Burnham said. “I feel very good about the direction of the team, and believe 2016 will be a tremendous year, on and off the field.”
