To the Editor:
While the article on Phil Fleischman’s catboat (“Phil Fleischman: More than just a guy with a boat to sell,” Sept. 17) was certainly enjoyable to read, the boat in the “Jaws” photo is certainly not Mr. Fleischman’s.
The boat in the photo is a Sandpiper Sloop, built around 1940. I should know since that is me, Will Pfluger, in the blue shirt, and it was my boat. The guy in the other boat with his back toward the camera is Travis Tuck.
The woman behind him is Eleanor Harvey, who for many years collected garbage from boats moored in Edgartown Harbor.
