The Tisbury Vision Council will hold a public meeting next Thursday, July 28, at 6 pm at the Tisbury Senior Center to discuss the revitalization of Owen Park. The council hopes to develop a maintenance plan, decide on changes to the park, and consider alternative approaches, according to a press release.
The council is looking at improving pedestrian access, connecting the park to Main Street with an overlook, expanding the beach and better connecting it to the play area, relocating the bandstand, and moving the harbormaster’s building.
Vision Council planning board member Ben Robinson said he’s hoping for public feedback. “The Vision Council sees the process as a way to discuss ideas,” Mr. Robinson said.
