To the Editor:
In the fishing column published on June 30, “Coast Guard proposes to remove local navigational aids,” in paragraph two, columnist Nelson Sigelman states that “USCG will park a cutter and two patrol boats off Menemsha Hills …”
Now I ask you, sir, since you are a notable member of our maritime community, how could you ever bring yourself to “park” any vessel? Anchor or moor, yes, but park? In future, such phraseology is best reserved for the automobiles, of which we have seen so many of late. Watch your language, sir, or you may find yourself keelhauled.
