Where did he go?
He was feeding on the ground yesterday.
Then the night registered 10 degrees
and he’s gone.
The harbinger of spring arrived,
happy with what he pecked from the earth.
But too early.
Now, he’s upside down,
stiff and stuck
on the ice.
NPR news
and dead robins,
in March.
The President
Tweets
as he rises.
And we wait,
to see if the bees
are safe in May.
