To the Editor:
On Sunday, May 28, Peter and Ronni Simon opened the door to their Main Street, Vineyard Haven, gallery, and hosted a book launch for Peter’s “work of a lifetime,” “Martha’s Vineyard: To Everything There Is a Season.” It was a welcoming and fun evening, offering the opportunity to both celebrate the accomplishment of the book and to meet and greet old and new friends who filled the gallery. I was honored to be signing books, along with Alison Shaw, Geraldine Brooks, and Peter. Peter has always supported the concept of inclusivity, and here we were, all pitching in.
As Peter and Ronni intended from the beginning, $30 from the sale of each book will be donated in support of the work of Martha’s Vineyard Community Services. The lives of many of our neighbors will be strengthened and improved through their generosity.
