The MV Maker Collaborative promotes the maker movement on Martha’s Vineyard, and after the second annual MV Mini Maker’s Faire took place earlier this month, organizers are looking for ideas on how to make the experience better. The Faire was an opportunity for makers to exhibit their work for the community — everything from handcrafted pottery to engineered prosthetic arms was on display. Visitors of all ages could take a hands-on look at the projects created by makers from all over the Island.
The maker movement is about learning, sharing, and teaching, and in order to tailor this broad movement to Island taste, the collaborative has developed a short series of questions to gather information about how they can best organize events that are of interest to the Island community.
