To the Editor:
Since 1828 Nobska Light was there for all who go down to the sea in ships.
Visible 17 miles away, it must be seen from Buzzards Bay.
In the sunrise’s hope for a new day
Leave the circle of the Vineyard today
It’s become one busy place
But here Nobska Lighthouse sets the pace
The old steamship still goes bye
And the rocks and currents match the sky
This is no doubt a special place
to sit at a bench in memory of life
And to think of the old watchman and his wife
And then your heart it can always stay
A piece of history and Buzzards Bay
