Island Gymnastics competed at the Dream Big Invitational, hosted by South Shore Gymnastics Academy, at Hanover High School on Jan. 22.
Gymnasts Grace Voshell (bronze), Sara Goodale (silver), and Molly Crawford (gold), coached by Beth Goodell, received an all-around trophy for their divisions.
In the Xcel Bronze group, Grace Voshell came in sixth in vault (8.8), third in bars (9.1), first in beam (8.8), fifth in floor (8.8), and finished fourth all-around (35.5). Nikita Kleeman tied for seventh in vault (8.75), placed fifth in bars (8.8), fifth in beam (8.4), and came in seventh all-around (34.4). Gabrielle Guimaraes tied for seventh in vault (8.75). Elizabeth Thompson’s top score was an 8.5 on bars.

In the Xcel Silver group, Sara Goodale placed fourth in vault (8.8), and placed fifth all-around (35.5) and in both beam and floor (9.0). Amy Maeda placed fourth on bars (9.1) and beam (9.05). Emily Boyd placed sixth on vault (8.5) and beam (9.0).
In the Xcel Gold group, Molly Crawford finished seventh in vault (8.6), fourth in floor (9.4), and received seventh place all-around (34.8).
Arianna Edelman finished in seventh on bars and beam, with 8.5 and 8.85 respectively. Alexa Shroeder placed fifth on beam (9.0). Olivia Shroeder competed in the Xcel Gold C division, and received an 8.3 on bars.
The next meet for Island Gymnastics will take place in March.
