The Steamship Authority announced morning trip cancellations in the face of strong gale force winds. As of 2 pm, the boatline planned to run the 2:30 pm Vineyard- Haven to Woods Hole ferry.
A wind advisory is in effect until 6 pm, Sunday. Travelers are advised to check with the boat line regarding future trips.

According to the National Weather Service gale force west winds with gusts 35-40 knots will gradually diminish through tonight. NW winds will increase again Monday with gusts 25-30 knots in the afternoon.
